Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Venture Capital Analyst to join our team in The Netherlands. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in sourcing and driving investments and portfolio management. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful ventures and work closely with founders to drive significant positive change through technology.

Job functions

• Sourcing: Identify and evaluate promising ventures that align with our mission of creating impact through technology with strong financial returns. Build and maintain relationships with key ecosystem players, including entrepreneurs, co-investors, and advisors.
• Due diligence and investment execution: Support on comprehensive due diligence processes, including market analysis, financial modeling, and evaluation of potential impact, backed by a team of seasoned mentors and colleagues.
• Portfolio: Work closely with portfolio companies during pivotal moments such as fundraises, exits and international expansions, while providing reporting and operational support when needed..
• Representation: Represent 4impact capital at industry events including conferences and pitching events both internationally and locally. You will engage with the broader community to promote the role of venture capital, and its role in creating impact while reaching financial objectives.
• Research: Research and write research papers on impact + digital tech topics to provide industry insights and enable sourcing.
• Data driven VC: Support 4impact capital in testing, deploying and scaling our capabilities in and around automation, artificial intelligence and beyond. 

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or Law, or a related field. MSc, MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred. You are more than your degree, but a foundation in one of the aforementioned subjects will provide you with a strong base for learning on the go.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, and other stakeholders. You are social, and have the confidence to speak up.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough due diligence, financial modeling, and impact assessment.
• Passion for using technology to address global sustainability challenges.
• A strong understanding of the tech startup ecosystem and the impact landscape are highly preferred.
• Easy ability to work in The Netherlands.
